Details

Antique Victorian turquoise ring featuring a single row of turquoise gemstones, set in 9ct yellow gold. This ring has a 9ct hallmark and a makers mark.

HISTORY:

For the Victorian's a turquoise gemstone was thought to preserve sight and protect from injury. Even today in the north-east, there is a proverb stating 'That a Turquoise given by a loving hand carries with it happiness and good fortune'.

MEASUREMENT:

The ring measures 2.3cm in length (across all three stones) and 0.4cm in width (widest point) and is a size N / 6.5.

CONDITION:

The ring is in excellent antique condition.
